SIX RESEARCH SCIENTISTS TO BE FUNDED IN 2009

A public announcement of winners of the Capita Foundation Auditory Research Grant will be made on this site at 8:00 am Pacific Time on October 1st, 2009.

Six biomedical research projects will be funded by the Capita Foundation in 2009. CFAR Grants are awarded in the fall of each year and are renewable annually for up to two additional years.

Research scientists around the globe will participate in discussions about hearing research on Twitter following the announcement. Join in!

July 2009 - We honor Peter Santi, Ph.D., who has has recently published the feature article in BioTechniques, The International Journal of Life Science Methods.

June 2009 - The 2009 Capita Foundation Annual Auditory Research Grant applications have all been received and are currently under review. We thank all participating Research Scientists for presenting us with your proposed projects and we look forward to communicating with you before the end of August, when we will be announcing our selection of research projects.

January 2009 - Thanks to equal contributions from the Capita Foundation and the Children's Surgical Associates of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Joseph Donaher's SANDBOX virtual reality program, created by Digital Media Works is now available for FREE DOWNLOAD from this web site.

October 2008 - All of our approved applicants for the 2008 Capita Foundation Auditory Research Grant have received funding for the year and, as a result, there is a great deal of new exciting hearing research occurring at our Nation's Universities and private research facilities.
